Pre-course work
Prior to course you will be sent a link . The link contains a manual that can be viewed on your computer in PDF format. In addition a link will be emailed to you for access to the most current manual that will be used during your Live Seminar. Please print out this manual and bring it to class with you.
Post course work
Monday Morning- Following the live segment of the course you will have the information needed to immediately use the basic TMR techniques treat your patients.
Over the following month- The requirement for receipt of your certificate is to satisfactorily complete a required number of session notes and submit these to the instructor for review and feedback. Once this is completed you are eligible to be on our referral list as successfully have completed TMR 1 for Tots!
Coaching and Support
We are available by phone and email as needed until you are confident in your application of the basic motions and are able to demonstrate this proficiency as reflected in your notes. Have you ever taken a course and been left aftwerwards feeling lost and unable to apply the techniques and concepts afterwards? This post course segment is unique to TMR because you are not left on your own to try to figure out if you could use anything you had been presented. (This is the most labor-intensive part for the instructors because WE WANT YOU TO GET IT and feel confident in being able to use the technique and see the results.

The Fabulous 5 basic exercises – single plane movements
Assessment: the 5 step process; identifying and ranking issues, using the Issue Scale, self-awareness in static positioning and motion, effective testing
Treatment progression – knowing when to continue treating
Home exercise programs
ADLS and therapeutic positioning to incorporate treatment into daily routines
Assessment lab and practice

Instructor
Susan Blum, PT, has provided pediatric PT services and consultation for over 25 years in outpatient, school and home settings. She provides Early Intervention services as well as treatment for children using natural learning environments. She consults with other physical therapists treating children with torticollis and gait/bracing issues. Susan incorporates TMR® in treatment of her patients with diagnoses such as developmental delay, cerebral palsy, other neuro-motor disorders, orthopedic issues, gait asymmetries and torticollis.

What to Bring/Wear
REQUIRED: Doll with flexible joints such as a therapy doll or a large Raggedy Ann doll. Baby dolls with rigid joints won't work. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
