so typically i treat spine, spine, spine..however had 2 new pts back to back yesterday both approx 1 mth out of left tkr (pretty odd i thought) how bout it ortho PTs? found any primary motions that help regain motion or whatever with the tkr pt?

Jen I have had success with stretching the opposite quad/hip flexor in prone and then retesting knee flex. on the tkr. I have also seen pts. walk much better after testing/treating the twist. My goal with most of my tkr pts. is getting them to understand that other parts of their bodies could be limiting their progress. The problem is that they have an idea of what "PT for my total knee" should be and they want the aggressive stretching of the bad side. ---------- D.G.

i love the prone knee bend (been using it for all kinds of other stuff already) thanks for the input in the past week have gotten 3 more TKR pts in-crazy wave huh? especially for a back and neck pain clinic
