Does anyone have a "magic move" to help frozen shoulders move easier? I've tried many of the techniques I can remember from TMR 1,2 and 3 but I haven't had a "WOW" moment. I can usually get a slight improvement each treatment, but nothing significant. I tell my patients that their recovery will take some time and they need to be compliant with their exs. at home (but we all know how THAT story usually ends), but I feel like I'm at a road block with thinking of new ideas to help these folks.

I have put this in other places but you would have to dig, so... one thing that works fairly well for any shoulder pain. one thing first is screen the neck I often find "frozen shoulder" is a chronic neck issue...anyway. back to frozen shldr. have pt lay supine and let's say R is "bad" side. take R arm into prom to where you feel resistance/guarding. have them "push" (isometric) extension into the table with the L arm. hold about 5 seconds, cue them "push" ect then have them relax. the R arm will "melt" when the L relaxes. take up the slack and repeat. don't force into pain! I did this today infact and started at 115 and ended at 165. good luck. post back what you find. (ps I also then do the "good" side same way. this works with abd,ir/er ect.
