Have people had much success using TMR to treat radicular symptoms. I tend to get a lot of patients with no back or neck pain, but numbness, tingling or pain into an extremity. I don't seem have as much success as Bill does using his bastardized TMR approach. If it is just low back pain they seem to do fairly well the bastardized approach though. Thanks, Heath

Heath - typically we do not have a problem with the system working for the radicular issues, however sometimes we have problems of the patients doing the system. Call me with perhaps a patient you have tried it on, and lets see if we compare notes if I can help you. 919 749 2106

I treated a lady over the last couple of weeks who was complaining of numbness in both arms and hands. She is a bus driver and would get symptoms driving. The FAB 5 worked well for her, mostly arm raise and trunk twist. I feel most of her problem was probably in the upper back. she has had a major decrease in symptoms of the hands going numb and arms feeling better. She was compliant which I agree may be the biggest key in the radicular symtpoms. Derek

Heath, I use TMR on several pts with radicular symptoms. as with anything, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have at least 4 on case load that (at least that i can think of) TMR works BETTER than positional (Mckenzie type) relief for upper or lower pain/numbness whatever. my only big point with this is tracking the most distal symptom and rechecking periodically on that symptom. good luck

i got rid of my radicular left leg pain by doing a left arm raise sitting had it off and on for 7 yrs did that arm raise about 8-9 times day for 3 weeks and then just about 2-3 x day up until 3 months and tis gone still 3-4 yrs later i can bring it back some if i put a great deal of stretch on the posterior left leg during a dance class-but then i do a lil left arm raise and clean that right up the system seems to work for most-you just may need to tweak the motion or the position of the motion to get the best results
