Does Total Motion Release help to ease the pain of trigger points and possibly elimating them?
Are there any other types of exercises that are good to do in tandam with TMR?
Thanks!!

"Trigger Points" may not be the pain generator...any more than a degenerative disc/RTC/meniscus...they could be but not necessarily.
TMR can reduce/eliminate symptoms but to say exactly where the symptoms were coming from is an entirely different (philosophical) ball of wax.

in my experience-yes....i have used various tmr motions to reduce and alleviate tender trigger points in myself and a number of patients cant necessarily tell you which motion would do it for which area-just gotta see what is putting the strain on that area and when that improves, see if the trigger point improves like bill said-maybe the trigger point is just a result of the other restriction...

Here is what i wrote on another post:
If the FAB 5 are flaring them up (or you can feel many tender points in their body) - use the Tender Point Collapse on them to downregulate the autonomic nervous system (get the tender points reduced) and then the body will stop guarding so much and will be ready for the FAB 5 again.
Anytime someone is not responding appropriately to the FAB 5 their body or mind is in a state of flight or flight (upregulation - autonomic system). I do the FAB 5 first, keeping it basic, however I may add chunking, extreme end range, and some "connect the whole body motions" like we do with the twist (letting whole body twist). I don't try to do many, but if I keep getting - no improvement or very little improvement, then i know they are upregulated. I look for tender points and then I push on them. I elicit the jump response and follow that jump response where the body is moving to get away from it. In other words now tender points are simply telling you where the body quickly wants to move. Connect a few of those tender points together and the entire body will move into a direction of injury. Very cool stuff.
Hope that helps.

Is the tender point collapse a new addition or a advanced class technique?. Sounds like the the same theory as to why S/CS works, folding over the tender point.

What is S/CS that works on tender points?
