Had a fun patient the other day. A lady who had an overuse injury to the middle finger of her right hand (not a road rage injury but fun to joke about). She could not flex her finger all the way without a lot of pain, and usually the finger would stick and be painful to unlock the trigger. We tested fab five and then balanced trunk twist, leg raise and arm raise. She had easier motion with the finger, but still not quite there. I had her grip a rolled up towel with the opposite hand for reps of twenty seconds. After doing a few reps she could easily flex her finger all the way to the palm and had only slight (non-painful) triggering near the end of extension. So I got some putty and had her do some finger gripping exercises with the uninvolved hand and while we talked it was easy to see her light up and get excited that her hand was moving so much better and easier (now she has more function to assist her in her expressions of road rage).
