IBFS and Knee Locking

I have two knee problems. One is a chronic knee locking that I get, usually once every few months. Recently, i got it 2 times in two weeks, from a certain kick I do in Hapkido that whips the knee to the outside and up. That locked it up immediately. While letting that heal, I somehow developed illiotibial band friction syndrome (per doctor's diagnosis). I am getting heat and electromagnetic treatment for that, and have been doing some exercising and stretches. Was wondering any advice for quick treatment, and prevention of both these problems. Havent gotten an MRI yet. Will be looking into that soon. I have been out of Hapkido for 3 weeks, and really want to get back in. Knee taping? Exercises? Stretches? Pre-and post-workout advice?

Thanks!
Anthony

My best advice is to download the free e-book and step through on yourself. See if it helps. Report back to me and we can take it from there.
